As the LGBTQIA+ Champion, I am a point of contact for any queer students that need support or someone to talk to. I bring a queer lens to all matters SPEEC deals with and always look to increase representation of queerness in our teaching and research. I have consulted for the AQA on A-levels curriculum with respect to gender, am working on implementing Athena Swan actions and am exploring starting a queer support group specific to the School of Psychology.

My main focus In the role of Student neurodiversity ally is to make the university more inclusive and accessible for neurodivergent students. I aim to do this by working with Jenny Hamilton and student groups such as the progressive autism group to implement new strategies to help student in both their academic learning as well as the social side of university to help make the university experience for those who are neurodivergent as exciting and meaningful as it is for neurotypical students.
